This Week Newspaper - Socotra Cormorant, one of the most vulnerable species as per the current
IUCN red list is endemic to the Persian Gulf and the south-east coast
of the Arabian Peninsula. Deriving its name from the ‘jewel of
biodiversity in the Arabian Sea’, Socotra islands, this magnificent bird
population are now the pride of Bahrain.
